Who We are

Reforestadora Bánati Bosque S.A.C is integrated by a multidisciplinary team with more than 25 years of experience in the agroforestry sector. Since 2008 we have been carrying out profitable and sustainable forestry projects and investments.

We work with fast growing and highly profitable timber-yielding trees that take place in fertile deforested ground. We give our clients the possibility to acquire plantations that will be managed from sowing to harvesting and the later sale at the end of the management period, year when the client gets the investment payback.

What We do

In Reforestadora Bánati Bosque, we are dedicated to planting profitable timber-yielding trees, particularly Teak, following our own planting scheme. We conserve the protected areas of flora, fauna and hydro biological resources by setting up our forest plantations in deforested areas.

Our planting scheme ensures forest sustainability. Every year we plant timber trees and at the end of the productive cycle we continue with the replantation procedure, in this way we can minimize the environmental impact and guarantee the formal employment of local workers.

- Wood is a renewable raw material in national and worldwide deficit.
- As an exportation product the commercialization and prices are subject to global market conditions and international market rates.
- The demand for wood is increasing due to population growth and to the growth of the global economy.
- The World Market of Wood is valued over US$ 240 thousand million per year.
- The trade balance of timber products in Peru has a deficit of more than US$ 800 million per year. However, our timber export potential could exceed US$ 3,500 million per year.
- According to ITTO (International Tropical Timber Organization), the teakwood price has recorded average gains of 8.4% for the last 30 years.

Carbon Credits

Carbon credits are obtained by projects aimed at reducing gas emissions into our environment, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse effect that causes global warming.

A carbon offset represents the right to emit one tonne of CO2 which translate in Certified Emissions Reductions (CER) and can be traded in the carbon market where governments, companies or individuals can sell or purchase GHG emission reductions.

According Ministry of the Environment, Peru ranks in the top 6 most attractive countries in the carbon marketthrough initiatives for promoting this system whereby the companies can compensate their emissions and mitigate the impact of climate change.

How We do it

All our trees are cultivated with the best management and forestry techniques, besides the plantations hold a certificate of registration issued by the INRENA (National Institute of Natural Resources).

We have an adequate infrastructure: high technology plant nursery, certified seeds, vehicles for inward transport, equipment and tools, camps on each estate. In addition, we have the support of work team made up of forestry agents and engineers and trained field staff.
We cultivate and manage the estates from sowing to harvesting when the client gets the benefits of his investment.

Each forest estate that we plant every year is identified with a GPS system to demarcate the areas with UTM coordinates that will be monitored individually and that we will communicate through quarterly technical reports. Additionally, you can supervise through field visits the growth of the plantations.

Banati Bosque has estates that are located in the Peruvian central jungle, between the departments of Junin and Pasco, in the province of Chanchamayo and Oxapampa, (some of the country’s most fertile lands), which provide the best opportunities and conditions for the plantations of timber forest species such as teak.
